The story
Carter* is an owner-operator truck driver with several delivery contracts, including a contract with a large winery to deliver wine orders to customers across Tasmania and Australia.
Carter was involved in an unfortunate accident during one of his regular wine delivery runs. The incident caused major damage to his truck and shattered all of the wine on board. This equated to thousands of dollars of lost product.
Fortunately, Carter had taken commercial vehicle and goods in transit insurance with us. The commercial vehicle insurance covered him for the damage to his truck, and he received access to another vehicle while his truck was being repaired. The goods in transit insurance covered the cost of the wine. Carter was able to continue running his business without major disruption to operations.
